How to plan & prepare a successful WC Painting

During the four-week series of classes we will:

  1. Choose subject and intent
  2. Create thumbnails
  3. Simplify shapes
  4. Make a value study
  5. Select palette
  6. Mixing paint on the watercolor paper
  7. Plan techniques
  8. Transfer drawing
  9. Prepare paper
  10. Paint light-to-dark
  11. Preserve highlights
  12. Stop before overworking
  13. Dry and flatten
  14. Mat the painting
  15. Frame
  • When we complete the 4-weeks of classes, we will have a beautiful watercolor painting ready to mat, be framed, and hung on our wall at home.
