The Ridge Art Association was founded by Jean Wagner Troemel in 1950 in Winter Haven, Florida. For 74 years, Ridge Art has continuously offered art classes, shows, and exhibitions for Central Florida artists, in addition to those wanting to learn and appreciate art. Some of our best times are hanging out together and talking about art.
You may know some of our 12 annual shows: Central Park Art Festival, Rails and Trails in Lake Alfred, Young Artist Show, Winter Haven Airport Aviation and Flight Exhibition, and the Hanes City Library Show. At our shows we welcome artists who create fine arts, pottery, sculpture, and crafts. We encourage and support new artists to share their creativity and art with the community. Guests and visitors are always welcome – come see what’s new.
Ridge Art is also focused on art education including classes in watercolor painting, drawing, pottery, ceramics, acrylic painting, oil painting, and abstract painting and collage. All classes move at a comfortable pace and integrate your interests. You will be impressed with your discovery and development of your artistic talents. Courses are offered throughout the year.
The Ridge Art Mission, is what we do…Bringing people together, from all backgrounds, ethnicities, and beliefs to create a collaborative learning environment that embodies positivity and inspires confidence for expression in all forms of art.
Come see us. We are in Winter Haven – 30 miles from Disney, 50 miles from Tampa, and Legoland is three miles down the road. We are adjacent to Theatre Winter Haven. If you need to do some fishing we have 60 lakes, with 26 of them connected by canals.
