Reflections can transform a watercolor painting, adding light, movement, depth, color, and atmosphere. But painting them convincingly can sometimes be challenging.

In this four-session watercolor class, we’ll take the mystery out of painting reflections and learn how to see and paint them with greater confidence.

Water doesn’t simply mirror what is above it. Colors shift, shapes stretch and soften, edges change, and ripples break reflections into fascinating patterns. Once you understand a few basic principles, reflections become much easier—and more enjoyable—to paint.
