Discover the art of oil painting in this comprehensive portrait class designed for beginners and those with some experience. This class will guide you through the fundamentals of oil painting techniques, from mixing colors to mastering brush strokes. Whether you’re starting from scratch or looking to refine your skills, Alexa Berrong will provide personalized guidance to help you draw proportionally and create stunning portraits. Participants are invited to create a self-portrait or a portrait of someone else. All you need to bring is a sketchbook, a painting apron or smock, and a reference photo printed on 8.5x11 paper. The photo can be of you or someone else. I encourage you to bring a headshot, not a full body shot. Once printed, the photo should be clear, not grainy.
