Aviation & Flight - Judge's Critique, Daryl Ward PhD.

Daryl Ward, PhD, is the Executive Director of the Polk Arts & Cultural Alliance. Prior to accepting this position, Dr. Ward worked over thirty years in public education - the last fifteen as a school-based administrator at Harrison School for the Arts in Lakeland, Florida. Dr. Ward holds a bachelor’s degree in creative writing from Florida State University, a master’s degree in educational administration from the University of Southern Mississippi, and a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of South Florida.

He has worked with organizations that serve both Polk and Florida’s artistic communities, including the Lakeland Mayor’s Council for the Arts and Arts4All Florida. He has previously served on the boards of Florida Dance Theatre, the Florida Alliance for Arts Education, and Lakeland Community Theatre.  Ward is also an artist himself, recently exhibiting his fine-art nature photography in a two-man show in Mulberry in addition to an upcoming show in September at the Bartow Art Gallery.
